Norvis was founded in 1996, inspired by Kirsti's passion for the outdoors. Through many years of countless adventures in forests, mountains, glaciers and by the sea, she gained a deep understanding of what the body and skin need when we are out in nature.
Kirsti began making ointments and creams to protect the skin from the harsh conditions we encounter in the wilderness – whether it was the cold wind on top of a mountain, the strong sun in the high mountains and by the sea, or the snow that can dry out the skin on long hikes.

Norvis makes products that not only protect, but also allow your skin to breathe. When you are outdoors and active, your skin needs to be able to breathe to avoid overheating. Norvis has therefore always avoided ingredients such as Vaseline or paraffin oil, which form a tight film on the skin and prevent excess heat from evaporating. Instead, we only use natural plant oils from wild or organically grown plants. The result is products that not only provide protection, but also allow your skin to maintain its natural function, even under demanding conditions.

Our sun products provide natural protection using a physical filter based on the mineral titanium. This type of protection does not degrade over time, as chemical filters do. Our sunscreen, Sol, Vær & Vind, gives you reliable protection against both UVA and UVB rays. Perfect for expedition athletes and families on the go.

All Norvis products are made with respect for nature and our customers. We do not use any parabens or synthetic additives, and all products are made in small batches to ensure they are fresh and of the highest quality.
